About Lebrija
Lebrija represents much of what is best (and most typical) in an Andalusian town. Nestling just inside Seville province, it’s actually closer to the city of Jerez de la Frontera in neighbouring Cádiz, and it looks to the south for many of its inspirations and influences. This is a town of 25,000 people and has all the facilities you could want – shops and supermarkets, banks and post offices, cinema, sports facilities and, of course, bars and restaurants. Lebrija is tidy and picturesque, with orange trees and palms lining its streets of white houses with their smart metal window bars, invariably painted black.

Wine and olive oil have brought wealth to the town, which has its share of monuments and grand houses – many of them former weekend residences for renowned Seville families. This is the place to experience real Spanish life – the simple pleasures of eating good food, drinking pleasant local wine and sitting on sunny terraces watching the world go by. But with big cities and the coast all a short journey away it offers the best of all worlds.
